Agreement
These terms apply when you buy or use any ROOK digital product. ROOK is operated by Aiden Day (ROOK Sports Marketing), Kentucky, United States. By purchasing, you agree to what's on this page. If you don't agree, don't buy.
What you're buying
Every ROOK product is a digital download — preset files, effect and transition files, PowerGrades and similar assets used inside editing software. Nothing physical ships. Orders are processed and delivered by our checkout provider, Payhip, which emails your download link immediately after payment clears.
Software requirements are your responsibility
Each product page states exactly which application the product requires — for example DaVinci Resolve Studio (the paid version), Adobe Premiere Pro, or Adobe Lightroom. Some products do not work on the free version of Resolve, and we say so plainly on the pages where that's true.
Check the requirements before you buy. Buying a product your software can't run is not grounds for a refund. If you're unsure whether your setup will work, email us first and we'll tell you honestly — we'd rather answer a question than take a sale that leaves you stuck.
Licence — what you can and can't do
When you buy a ROOK product you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it.
You may:
- Use it on your own personal edits and projects
- Use it on paid client work and commercial projects you're hired for
- Use it on as many of your own projects as you like, with no time limit
- Install it on the computers you personally work on
You may not:
- Resell, resupply, sublicense, rent or give away the files
- Share them with other editors, upload them anywhere, or include them in a shared drive or team library
- Bundle them into your own preset pack, template, course or product
- Claim them as your own work, or distribute them modified or unmodified as a free download
The short version: use them on anything you're paid for — just don't hand the files to anyone else or sell them on. We built these shooting real games, and redistribution is the one thing that kills a product like this.
We own the products and all intellectual property in them. Buying grants a licence to use them; it does not transfer ownership. We may revoke the licence if these terms are breached.
All sales are final
We do not offer refunds. These are digital products delivered instantly and cannot be returned once downloaded. By completing your purchase you acknowledge that you are buying a digital good, that delivery begins immediately, and that you are waiving any right to withdraw or cancel once the download is available.
That said — if a file is corrupted, a download link fails, or you receive the wrong product, that's on us and we'll fix it. Email aiden@rookdm.com and we'll get you sorted. Our no-refund policy covers changing your mind; it does not cover us failing to deliver what you paid for.
Delivery and access
Download links are sent by email through Payhip once payment clears. If it hasn't arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder first, then contact us. Download attempts are limited to prevent link sharing; if you legitimately run out, we'll reset it for you.
Prices and products may change
We can change prices, update product contents, or stop selling a product at any time. Changes aren't retroactive — what you already bought stays yours under the licence above, and we won't charge you again for updates to a product you own unless it's clearly sold as a separate new release.
Results
Our products are creative tools. What you get out of them depends on your footage, your camera, your lighting and your editing. We show real examples of our own work and make no promise that your results will match them, or that using these products will grow an audience or win you clients.
Liability
The products are provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including lost work, lost projects, lost income or data loss — arising from using or being unable to use our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the product in question. Keep backups of your projects; that's good practice regardless of whose tools you're using.
Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of that state.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force is whatever is published here on the date you buy, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
